Object

To move all the cards to the foundations.

 

Layout

•4 foundation piles (right) - build up regardless of suit from Ace to King.

 

•4 cells (across top) - storage locations for cards from the stock.  Only 1 card allowed in each cell.  Cards can only be moved to the cells from the stock.  A card in a cell is available for play to the tableau or foundations.

 

•4 tableau piles (below cells) - cards are played here from the stock or cells.  The top card of each pile is available for play on the foundations only.  Once a card has been played to the tableau, it can only be moved to the foundations.

 

•stock (face up on left) - top card is available for play on the cells, tableau, or foundations.  No redeals.

 

Tips

•The skill in this game is deciding which cell or tableau pile to put each card in.  Once cards are played to the tableau they can only be removed to the foundations. You do not want to block yourself by putting higher cards on top of lower cards in the tableau, unless absolutely necessary.

 

History

Strategerie is similar to Sir Tommy and Strategy. It was invented by George W. Bush especially for this game.
